Pakistan’s Nobel Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai has been honoured with the 2018 Gleitsman Award by Harvard University on Thursday.
Ms Yousafzai received the award from the Centre for Public Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School, for promoting girl’s education worldwide.

The 21-year-old Malala Yousafzai has been leading global movement to equip girls with 12 years of free, quality and safe education.
Harvard officials said, Malala’s life story has inspired world’s young generation to follow in her footsteps.
A professor at Harvard Kennedy School and Director of the Centre for Public Leadership David Gergen said, “Malala speaks powerfully to the strength and perseverance of women and girls who are oppressed.”
The Gleitsman Award provides 125,000 US dollars for global education activism that has improved quality of life around the world.
Currently, Malala Yousafzai is a student at Oxford University in England.
Speaking the Harvard University earlier “A Conversation with Malala Yousafzai”, she thanked her supporters and vowed to empower the children globally and work for the their education.
She became the youngest Nobel Prize laureate in 2014 when she was recognised for her global work promoting and supporting schooling world’s children.
At her teen-age, back in 2012, Malala was shot in head by the Taliban while she was on her way back from school to home in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Swat valley.
