Yeah! This is called a new Veena Malik, the controversy queen. She has intended to host a tv show in the month Ramadan and turn holy herself. What an amazing news, the most controversial actress who had posed semi nude for a men fashion magazine of India has to ask forgiveness for herself and her viewers as well.
Promos for Malik's new TV show, which feature her trying to look her religious best, have gone viral on the internet. With a blue dupatta covering her head, Malik says a throaty "Astaghfaar" (Arabic for seeking forgiveness), as a solitary tear dramatically rolls down her cheek.
Ever since news of Malik hosting the special show broke, she has been trending on Twitter. "I wonder if Veena Malik went to Hero TV just for channel's tagline - 'Dekha day sab kuch' :)" tweeted Kamran Bukhari.
Hero TV channel, which will air the show, has become the butt of jokes overnight. Giving Malik company on TV during the holy month of Ramadan will be Maya Khan, a morning show host who earned the ire of people across Pakistan when she accosted "immoral" couples dating in Karachi's parks and was fired by her channel.
A height of stupidity planned by Hero TV Channel to hire Veena as host of religious program for achieving cheap popularity and masses towards watching the show however public anger is likely to create as the controversial queen is absolutely misfit for such religious program.
The religious programs on TV channels are becoming platform of controversial actors and actress who do not know nothing about religion but doing acting on television scree — a totally hypocritical way. - But it is an irony that thousand of viewers watch these sorts of program in reality as if any entertainment program.
So if you watch Veena Malik in Indian show or magazine then it will be a sin or if you watch her in Astagfaar, what do you say you will commit?
