Last day on Thursday facebook announced the new profile look/layout called "Timeline". The facebook engineer Paul McDonald said in his blog post that the new kind of profile is available for every one. "Timeline gives you an easy way to rediscover the things you shared, and collect your most important moments. It also lets you share new experiences, like the music you listen to or the miles you run". Paul McDonald said.
Timeline let you to discover anything you has shared since you have joined facebook first day, which is the most important and amazing feature of the timeline.You can jump to any date/day and see what you had shared. You can find easily which was the most important post/photo/video/link or any thing other that was liked very much. There are so many features new in the "timeline" we will experience for the first time.
Activity Log: With timeline, now you have access to a new tool called Activity Log. Your activity log is a place where you can review all your posts and activity, from today back to when you first started using Facebook. Only you can see your activity log.
Well you just go and check it now. It's strange for the first time when you set it but not complicated and boring. Privacy is much more than the the previous profile look. Many things are much easy than the first.
So it's a new experience facebook let us to do. I think it is very amazing and useful. We will discover so many thing that we didn't do before. In short, it's your life story that you tells the world.But if you go to the facebook blog where the timeline has been announced, you will see that more than 60% users are very angry with the new update. Few months before facebook has announced new chat and layouts but the users were unhappy that time. They posted a lot against those facebook changes but gradually facebook knew that everything is liked by users. New things are of course hard to experience but not boring all time. That's what facebook want.
Facebook understands challenges what Google+ also experienced in the previous days. That's why facebook followed photos and videos layouts and some other features of Google+. I think facebook really feels threats from Google+ in future and of course wants to lead the social networking forever.
