A couple of days before, racial slurs were seen scrawled on the doors of at least five "black" cadets at the U.S. "Air Force Academy" in Colorado sate.
Racism based words "Go Home" were scrawled on the doors's message-boards of five black cadets and one's mother posted image of the vandalism with the caption: "This is why I'm so hurt!"
Although the academy's security forces are investigating the incident, the school's Superintendent Lt Gen Jay Silveria fired back in a powerful way on Thursday.
The Lt General has an impressive and powerful message to the "racists in the USAF". "There is absolutely no place in our Air Force for racism - it's not who we are, nor will we tolerate it in any shape or fashion," he said in his speech at the school.
In response to the slurs, Silveria said, "If you're outraged by those words, then you're in the right place. You should be outraged not only as an airman, but as a human being."
In a now-deleted Facebook post, the mother of one student fumed: "These young people are supposed to bond and protect each other and the country. Who would my son have to watch out for? The enemy or the enemy?" -- BBC News reported.
